Since The Time-Before-Time, I Feel, I've Loved Thee Poem by Mohammad Younus

Since The Time-Before-Time, I Feel, I've Loved Thee

Since the time-before-time, I feel, I've loved thee;
Before I had the corporeal form or had got a name;
Sometimes I hear a mystic voice from you;
Sometimes a flame of love kindles my heart;
Angels prostrate so often before me;
As you've blown into me and coronated me;
Still when, where and why thou coronated me,
I do not know;
Some lovely glorious things I may have to do,
To be in your image on the earth to do your will;
But my soul, which is your child can do nothing,
Unless it has the limbs of hope and fear;
Most dutiful servant at the command of Lord!
Always glorifies him! Always worships him!
My job must not be, but to take a command;
And, as such, what, who, why and where are,
The irrelevant questions;
I need not ask because,
I know that, in my essence, I'm master in disguise!
That He assumes the human body is to manifest,
His powers in order to:
Hear to himself, see to himself, and speak to himself!
In a nutshell, in order to love Himself through Himself!
