Sin Is An Inside Job
Sin is an inside job
For it comes from within the heart
It challenges our decisions
Whose will, will it impart
Which master shall we serve
And be a servant to
Our works will give off evidence
As to which one we have choosed
I've met some individuals
Who say that they know God
Yet when under observation
They must have misunderstood
For God says if you love me
You must keep...my commands
And they run roughshod over this
And leave off God's demands
In conversational matters
Their words should bring a blush
Showing a neglect to check their heart's
When words are uttered such
Let no corrupt communication
Spew forth from our lips
Unless your heart is fixed on Christ
You'll not have none of this
There's a cavity that needs filling
To bring us liberty
To offer up praises to our God
And do it willingly
With a joyful disposition
Because we've been redeemed
We can order our conversation upright
Because of the Master we esteem!
O for changed heart's Father
That Your Word can lead us to
And see sin in its significance
To what paths it can lead us to
Then to have a will to change
Lord...make a brand new me
So that I may serve You Lord
And enjoy You eternally!
Hallelujah what a Saviour!
