Sin Has An Extreme Weight Poem by Gary James Smith

Sin Has An Extreme Weight

Sin Has An Extreme Weight

Sin has an extreme weight
A burden to heavy to bare
If it's not diagnosed properly
It will lead you to despair
Are you feeling an unsettling
An absence within of peace
No deep felt joy or rejoicing
Then you definitely need sin's release

There is only one solution
To deal with the problem of sin
You must acknowledge the fact of it
And confess it unto Him
He will not condemn you
If you take your burdens there
But with open arms He will welcome you
And all that it takes is prayer

Dear Lord I come confessing
For I know that I have sinned
I need your mercy now my Lord
Let your Spirit live within
I've accepted that transactional truth
That you've done at Calvary
You took all of the wrath that I deserved
To set this sinner free

So come into my heart Lord Jesus
You're the One who can deal with sin
For you alone can take a sinful heart
And make it pure within
And joy and peace come tandemly
When I call upon Thy blessed name
Sin no longer has a stronghold
For I've been graced and born again!

Hallelujah what a Saviour!
