Sin
Sin now escapes me
Only to murder
Just lost innocence
MJ, you are right on the money! I was reading Desolate Angel at the time of writing.
After several readings, I've come to see an interpretation that suggests the bystander to a crime or wrongdoing may be just as complicit as the one committing the sin. Very subtle work, Richard. A terrific poem.
