Simplicity Comments

You know, Sarah, some day we will end up in the same place, namely, a Heaven for Poets (!) but we will reach it by different paths: you celebrate yours in this poem extolling SIMPLICITY. Many other poets agree with you and are nodding their heads. I take a different path: I love beautiful language first and foremost. I share my eloquence with them but I don't summon them to follow my lead. Yours is a moral voice which DOES summon people to rise above their mediocrity and reclaim the values that will make a better world. That must be why I read and comment on your poems: I have the ears to hear and heed your words but not the voice to match them.
