Watch these butterflies on colorful wings
Merrily they flit from flower to flower
These delicate dancing dervishes,

You have made a captivating expression on butterflies in this poem. Its nature, and picture with children and flowers have been impressively penned. I cite..These tiny miracles of grace capture our eyes / As they reel on wings colorful as rainbow hues Alas, so fragile in form and structure / With the slightest touch, one can their frame bruise..fine poem.

Staying in captivity for days on end Free at last from the binding cyst Butterflies are fluttering beauties. Beautifully captured in the poem.

I always had happiness symbolized by a butterfly. You have imaged the tiny miracle of grace as a thing of beauty...yet untouchable. Lovely write, Valsa!

Hi Valsa when I wrote my paragraph on the Simple Verse.19. I began to doze over my computer. But I woke up twice and went back to typing and left a big gap each time I tried to reconnect with my argument - not possible, all I accomplished was incoherence. So I got up, walked around my apartment, went out on the balcony, got a blast of cold air, fixed an espresso and I'M BACK! ... The butterflies are are living a perfectly balanced life and not interfering with any other life form. The nectar they take from flowers doesn't hurt the flower and they don't have to kill other life to guarantee their life goes on. Oh, what bliss not to carry that guilt! Rilke called our reliance on killing for survival OUR WANDERING SORROW. Boy, you're gonna carry that weight a long, long time (Beatles, Abbey Road) .

You call the butterflies TINY MIRACLES OF GRACE, and that is precisely the role they play in the poem. It is a grace that comes from being alone but alert, and humans are especially hurt by slow degrees of loss. But the closely observing butterfly knows instinctually life is savoring nectar - and there's an abundance of it, and what he takes does not endanger the flower. It's a perfectly balanced ecology of bee and flower.

Remember, in moments of gay abandon, danger lurks Very truly said. Often in the midst of joy tragedy strikes. In the present instance, my heart goes out for the unfortunate school children of Peshawar school who lost their lives while in the prime time of their life and that too for no fault of theirs. May God rest their soul in peace.
