Silver Rain Poem by Rose Marie Juan-austin

Silver Rain

Rating: 5.0

I have been counting my tears,
watching as your memory fades like
thick, dark, and foreboding clouds that once blotted out the sun.
Now, every falling drop is pierced
by sudden beams of light.

I am no longer drowning in the dark.
I count my tears as silver rain,
releasing the hurts
once buried in my heart.
With every drop,
the dark recedes,
until the window of my soul is cleansed--
paving the way for a sky
that finally knows its own
significance and radiance.

I love the sun piercing the clouds imagery! And 'silver tears' puts such a vivid picture of tears of healing into my head! So well written!

Silver tears! Dazzling imagery employed so cunningly throughout this picturesque piece! I have found that tears can heal indeed!
