Silent Pain Poem by Yemisi Caster

Silent Pain

Rating: 5.0

How do I begin?
How do I let out what's within?
My mind's screaming out loud
My thoughts filled with this dark cloud

I feel the hurts all over again
The rushing back of years of pain
Yet my lips find no words
Sealed, silenced by the mind gods

Heartbroken, I still go on
Broken pieces lying alone
Where shall I find solace?
To whom can I present my case?

The desperate search for happiness
The longing to show my goodness
The endless fight of a wounded soul
Darkened heart as black as coal.

I pray for strength over this feeling
I look up for Divine healing
'It's OK to cry, let out the hurt
Let your crushed spirit purge'.

A sorrowful whisper from a hurting spirit. Beautifully composed and thoughtful rhyming patterns.
