Silent Devotion Poem by April Humason

Silent Devotion

In my gaze, you are a heaven-sent light,
Reflected in wonder, gentle and bright.
Close in spirit though distance remains,
A quiet connection that Heaven sustains.

My thoughts are prayers drifting through air,
Soft as a hymn the soul would share.
Dreaming of purpose, calling, and truth,
A hope written deep in youth.

I dare not speak what my spirit sees,
Only entrust it to God on my knees.
A silent reverence, sacred and still,
Held in my heart, obedient will.

Visions not of fire, but Holy peace,
Where fear dissolves and burdens cease.
A love not taken, not rushed, not loud,
But wrapped in faith, humble and bowed.

So I keep this prayer within my soul,
Until His timing makes us whole.
Not as fantasy, not as desire,
But as a love God Himself would inspire.
