Silence The Greatest Lover Poem by Arun Maji

Silence The Greatest Lover

Rating: 5.0

When you cry
You cry alone.
All alone. Very alone.

None is there to weep with you
But silence.

Yes, silence.
The most hated friend of human
The most misunderstood lover of human.

Yet silence loves you
Truly. Sincerely. Generously. Gallantly.
Altruistically. Relentlessly. Selflessly.

None is more loving
Than silence.
None is more kind
Than silence.

You can talk to him,
Shout at him, virtually kill him.
Yet silence would keep smiling to you
With his serene eyes.
So deep is his love
So profound is his generosity.

Yet human looks for love
In chaos of promises.
Human looks for company
In embrace of lovers.

Promise would be broken one day
If not in life, in death.
Lover would abandon you one day
If not in life, in death.

But embrace of silence?
Like a loyal lover,
He would follow you
Through your innumerable lives and deaths.

Why feel alone o human
Why feel alone?
Don't you see silence, your most beautiful lover
Waiting to embrace you?
