Silence Rings. Poem by Driss Ezzireg

Silence Rings.

Silence rings violence in us.
Awaiting the eclosion of hope
Peace is sliced into peaces
To suit the designs of popes
Of war and machinations.
Silence is silenced in us.
To bear the burden of words
That speak in spacious palaces
Of worlds of love and care
But the rear halls call
For wars of hatred and fall.
Silence speaks loud for us.
A storm is about to form,
Is about to gather,
Farther and farther
In the land and I think
You ought to understand
The striking of the hour.
As
Silence rings violence in us.
