Sick Rose (Vii) Poem by floresence georgeao

Sick Rose (Vii)

It stares at the sunlight
With reddened eyes
One side of the scale holds desire
The other, love

It anchors to the land
With delicate hands
One hand holds medicine
The other mixes arsenic

It sways
Caught between void and existence
Living outside
Dying inside

It tears apart
One petal at a time
The dawn
one is golden
the other is dark
