Even though he was out of shape
Smoking from a vape,
Drinking pop from a cup
He showed up.
He showed up that tournament night,
When I needed him to fight.

Even though he was in shape
Strong as an ape,
Drinking water from a cup
He never showed up.
He never showed up that night,
When I needed him for the tournament fight.

A boxer is not a quitter
He's a strategist and also a hitter,
Drinking water and/ or pop from a cup
He will always show up.
Never gives excuses for a tournament night
He's always prepared to fight.
