with cute pony tail dancing behind.
She smilingly came in front of me.
Two little groundnuts held in her tiny fists

A very fine situational poem trickling from the sense of confusion.

I would love to have that soiled sweat soaked nut, that is nothing but a blessing in deed, from an innocent child shaped angel in deed.

When offered with love, it is always kind on our part to accept.... But we have to be careful about the context, the time and the person who is offering... In this case, there is nothing to be suspected as the child shows an innocent gesture of simple love. As you feel.. the cleanliness is the only thing that can raise a little concern. But it is upto us whether we should eat it or not, even if accepted! A very touching write... such gesture of love coming from people who are in many way deprived has greater magnificence than a costly gift offered by the rich! !

If there is no malicious undercurrent, I feel, it is always best to accept the offer. In this poem the child is love, simplicity and innocence personified. A brilliant poem which touches the string of the heart.

When life itself is a give and take affair in its real logic, we have to take whatever is offered provided it is done with heart and not by hands alone. A poem that can be much more interpreted. Well written Geetha.
