Shiva In The Padmashana Poem by Bijay Kant Dubey

Shiva In The Padmashana

Rating: 3.5

I saw Shiva in the padmashana
Sitting cross-legged
And lost in meditation
With the damru, the kamandala,
The trisula
And meditating
Like a yogi.,
A sadhu,
A fakira.

Neelkantha,
Mahadeva,
Shiv-Shankara
With the snake
Rounded around
The blue neck,
Sitting in a yogic posture
And meditating
With the crescent
On the forehead
And the three ash-lines.

The Ganges flowing
From his matted locks,
Lost in his sadhna
Meditating
With the Third Eye,
Losing with the musical murmur
Of the flowing waters
So rapt in dhyana
And with the rudraksha beads
Threaded as a garland of
Around his necks
And also on the wrist
And the arms as bands.
