A lovely poem. I enjoyed the reference to the Mariana Trench, the deepest part of the Pacific, which is also the deepest ocean. Very enjoyable.

When you fall asleep always dream of ships. They return… If once they do not, don't worry, I will wait for you at the bottom of the ocean. To be the nymph's servant and carry her lantern where the worlds of darkness touch… - - - - - - - -Love is a beautiful dream which gives hope and strength.Even when one is hopeless, lover's reassurance is like the light to overcome the darkness.Congratulations for Poem of the Day.

I've read all four of your poems. Moving work. I like that you've developed a specific vocabularly that rolls through the work. I can feel you working through an emotional idea. I also like how your poems all remind me of villanelles. But aren't. It seems both apt and important. Breaking convention while somehow still paying tribute to it. I also can't escape the feeling that these are messages from a dying man to his surviving lover and/or dear ones.
Dear poet, this work has definitely come out from Ivan's emotional experience. We are glad that he has developed. This poem is definitely a moving work. Taking part in such a poetic discussion about poem of the day we feel glad.

There is hope for returning back of dream ships. If not, still there is no need to worry. There is promise to wait with patience for ships. This last stanza conveys message of promise and patience of waiting. Yes Carl, you have nicely witnessed Ivan's nautical imagery in this poem.
