Ship Wrecked. Poem by Safiyyah Manjra

Ship Wrecked.

Rating: 5.0

Have you ever seen the eyes of someone?
Welled up with tears because of the death of a loved one?

Seeing someone so fragile and broken.
Tears you inside and makes your pain forgotten.

You see someone fall apart before your very eyes.
There's nothing you can do but realize.

That's the reality.
Portrayed with such rotten simplicity.

I am not one to mourn.
I have felt so much pain that the expression,
I adjourn.

For moments of solace,
Where I have my own space.

To cry and scream.
Envision the severity of my broken dream.

To punch my hand into a wall.
Let it all out before I fall.

On to my knees.
Where I beg for ease.
