COMMENTS

Thank you Bharati Nayak for reminding about this poem. The school vacation we enjoyed then is not being enjoyed by the children today. They were carefree those days. But the scenario. the attitude, aim of life and the like have been changed totally pushing forth our children into a world which is hard for them to handle.

Nicely written facts on childhood, both of modern age and of a preceding generation. Technology has taken away the simplicity we had earlier and bestowed on us a new busy and much complicated life. Children have been affected much adversely. They have lost the chances of knowing the nature and the life around. Thank you....10

Thank you Sir Parameswaran Nair Damodaran Nair for kindly reading my poems and your valuable feedback.Yes, children are adversely affected by the fast life. They do not have time either to read fairy tales or to play on sand pits.

Simple was our childhood, limited was our knowledge and ambitions were not out of reach. Society has been changed, complicated is the childhood, mental age is more than what it should be, and the chidren are overambitious. It all has resulted in a frustrated man. An intelligent observation of Bharati Nayak.

Humble thanks Akhtar Jawadji for reading and giving your valyable comment on my poems.Yes, chidren have become overambitious and when they fail, it results in frustration.Parental as well as pressure from school to excel academically is putting much burden on the chidren.

We are created to be in touch with nature—as you were, Bharati, in your childhood years. So how unhealthy it is for young people to be glued for hours to screens instead of being outdoors. (It’s not good for adults either; see my short poem “Dystopic.”) “With heavy school bags and the weight of their parents ambitions weighing on their backs” is an image with impact—good one! -Glen

Building sand castles And running after butterflies. A balloon or a naked longence without any decorative dress Was enough for us to dance in joy........past memories so joyful. Touching expression. It is really a beautiful poem on memories and childhood. I appreciate the way of presentation as well as title of the poem. Thank you dear madam.10
