Cheeks dredged in gleaming raindrops of sorrow
Groggy n' gaunt eyes belying youthful countenance
As he slogs through a torrent of neglect n' loneliness
Alone to endure the blinding flashes of lightenin'
And try to find meaning in the explosion of thunder in his head
In the bustle n' hustles of modernity; life is oblivious of his suffering
The boy child is drenched in incessant drizzle of guilt n' shame; none seems to care
For all the heavy emptiness in his heart, he must endure or perish
The submarine of emotions, he must keep for society expects him to
Should he want to share, that becomes a weapon used against him
Now we are in shock at the numbers that've decided to end it all prematurely
