She Was Like Music Poem by Daniel Miltz

She Was Like Music

She was like music
And I longed to dance
When we met
At beach·y dive bar

My body was the beat
Ready to shake
I begged for the chance
At beach·y dive bar

Her words were the vocals
I was put in a trance
We sang to each other
At beach·y dive bar

Swaying, so gently to the sounds
Swirling up inside me
Her smile was the melody
At beach·y dive bar

I'm bitten like the last stanza
Of a poem unwritten
I fell in love at first glance
At beach·y dive bar
