'pseudo-norms are a crashing engine' - A crisp and compelling statement! A wonderful poem that speaks more than the words apparently convey, perhaps!

The bird wants to fly high in the turquoise sky, but his wings are tied. Hope one day he will be untied.

A Girl in the River: The Price of Forgiveness (2015) Nominated for Oscars. More than a 1000 women are killed in the name of 'honor' in Pakistan every year. A Girl in the River: The price of forgiveness follows the story of a rare survivor who falls in love and lives to tell the tale.Director: Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy Whenever a truth is spoken in Pakistan, the foolish extremists and the radicals start saying, it’s a conspiracy to disgrace Pakistan.

That's what so many of women have to go through. Freedom is everyone's inherent right. But often in the name of customs and traditions, a woman's happiness is sacrificed. Wonderful poem.

For the sake of norms, one's life shouldn't be sacrificed! All laws and norms are for the well being of man and if they pose problems and hinder movement, flout the norms! A bird longing to fly should be let loose into the wider skies, as long as it can choose its own course! I can discern the sense of melancholy in these lines! Welcome back Shahzia........ A rebirth is always possible!
