The feeling of a child- pure and sublime. Wish your dream come true. Loved it. Keep inking Anne.
Nicely written, Anne.'I lauched a paper boat this morning into the river'.I liked the beginning line. The paper boat was not a simple boat.It carried the dream to sail on, on, on...
The Minnesota poet Robert Bly, who is my model of a sincere, talented and generous poet and human being, wrote in one of his poems, A MAN WRITES TO A PART OF HIMSELF. And that's what you do in this poem with charm and honesty and I thoroughly embrace your poem. Your present self, no doubt wiser because older, listens to your younger self, and touched by her idealism and sincerity is determined to fulfill the hopes of that Anne of a thousands days ago. In English we call a poem like this ARTLESS, not because it isn't artistic (it is very artistic) but because it doesn't seem invented, it comes straight from the heart and that means it carries the Heart's Truth into the light of day. You must treasure this poem, you will want to read again - when yet another Anne looks back and assesses her life. BTW You posted a new photograph at your Poet's Page and the photos could be the two Annes of this poem! !
A man writes to a part of himself, I used to think a poet should write to his full self, tell his entire heart to readers so that every piece of his can live in every piece of human being. I could not do that, wish someone could, then i will have words of beauty to read. Thank you, dear Daniel
This poem is wonderfully colorful and vividly vibrant. I love it! :)
Just love all your poems! ! Fresh and full of dreams ]
