Shattered Reflections Poem by David Hurlburt

Shattered Reflections

Silent screams echo through my mind
A broken mirror, shattered in time
Reflecting lies that I've left behind
A fragile heart, forever unaligned

Fading light, a dying ember
A hollow soul, consumed by December
Frozen tears, a heart that's lost its prime
A lonely cry, a sorrowful rhyme

Whispers of what could never be
A broken promise, a shattered sea
A lost identity, a fading me
A sorrowful heart, forever lost at sea

Shadows dance, a haunted night
A broken mirror, a reflection's light
A fragile heart, a sorrowful sight
A lonely soul, forever in flight

A dying flame, a flickering spark
A broken dream, a shattered heart
A lonely cry, a sorrowful mark
A lost identity, forever in the dark

Fading away, a disappearing light
A broken mirror, a shattered sight
A lonely soul, a sorrowful plight
A lost heart, forever in the night

A silent scream, a dying breath
A broken promise, a shattered death
A lonely heart, a sorrowful depth
A lost soul, forever in its sleep

A shattered dream, a broken heart
A lonely soul, a sorrowful part
A fading light, a dying art
A lost identity, forever torn apart

A broken mirror, a shattered me
A lonely soul, a sorrowful sea
A lost heart, forever lost at sea
A sorrowful cry, a dying plea
