Hey Mary! You are such a sweet writer. I really love this one.
Mary, Well done. I think we've all been there and can relate. I enjoyed this one very much. A 10 from me. Shannon
Mary, this poem is the profound statement of a marriage with all its foibles. It is lovely and touches so many hearts in its truth. Raynette
Boy Mary, you really hit the nail on the head with this one. It's sad to be with someone and yet be so far apart, all the while wishing for more closeness and warmth from the one you love.
Mary, I think this is your best. Being alone while with someone, particularly someone that truly matters, is certainly sad. It's when I feel the most lonely. When I feel an emotional warmth however, just from someone's physical presence - well it's wonderful. I miss it when it's not there. Thanks for bringing me to that place for a moment. j.
I think all relationships of the nature you speak Mary, have these lonely moments, the trick is, to go with the flow. Tomorrow always takes care of itself. Or go to bed! A much comforting plan. An absorbing read. 10 from Tai
Loneliness has its own existence. I was lonely when I was married, I'm lonely now, at a party, I'm lonely enough to drown.
Mary you are becoming a master using simply stated words and creating a loud voice for true moments of life. It is easy to see the landscape you make with your words. Rusty
nice poem, and some times, so true..............................
Mary, this poem is like a Norman Rockwell painting... so true to life. Brian
