'Shadows Of Injustice: The Transit Cover-Up' Poem by Naomi Johnson

'Shadows Of Injustice: The Transit Cover-Up'

In the realm of transit, a sinister game,
NJ Transit, Coach USA, seeking no shame.
Leaching attorneys, crooked and sly,
Trolling the internet, truth they deny.

Articles online, they swiftly erase,
Hiding the deaths, a darkened space.
Trained professionals, on roads they roam,
Covering up crimes, a heartless syndrome.

Prosecutors silent, justice they evade,
Bus drivers free, in shadows they're laid.
A cover-up, a tale so profound,
Worse than the crime, a darkened ground.

Injustice reigns, as lives are lost,
Martin Luther King's words, at a heavy cost.
'Anywhere injustice, ' his timeless plea,
A threat to justice, for all to see.

NJ Transit, Coach USA, judges in line,
Town police, Transit police, a twisted sign.
Attorneys, governor, politicians in play,
Laws shaped by agendas, in a callous array.

Money over lives, a chilling choice,
Covered in shadows, a silenced voice.
The streets bear witness, to lives in vain,
A viral plea for justice, echoing in pain.
