Shadow Theatre Poem by The voice of silence .

Shadow Theatre

In the theater of shadows, where light barely glows,
Masks of people slip like fleeting shadows.
They show only what they wish to display,
While their true faces are kept away.

Behind the veil of fear, behind the curtain of lies,
Souls hide their tremors, their silent cries.
They fear the world may not understand,
That honesty may strike with a harsh hand.

Yet in each of us, there is light and shade,
Wounds we hide like a secret parade.
We wear our masks to avoid the flame,
But in this fleeing, we lose our name.

But what if we lift this false disguise,
Allow ourselves to live, unchained, wise?
For in truth lies freedom, the soul's own might,
And the world draws nearer, steps soft and light.

Do not fear to reveal your dark dreams,
For in each of us shine both stars and seams.
Only in acknowledgment, in words sincere,
Can we find the path to ourselves and love clear.

So let the theater of shadows fall silent at last,
And each of us find our light steadfast.
For the world is not frightening when you are alive,
When you live with your soul, not a mask to survive.
