My mind is in fragments,
My cognizance feels scattered
My even keel has vanished,
My wisdom has been shattered.
Every left turn,
So incredibly wrong
Every step that was taken,
The avenue to:
Another Sad Lifespan Song
Choices and voices,
Like wails through the wind!
Then, a silence so stifling—
You could drop and hear a pin.
So, I run far away
From my awareness—I depart from it
I want to rewind it all
Or perhaps, to restart it
But in fragments,
I'm shattered
Inoperable
Left scattered—
Left desperate and desolate,
No longer with a clue
The riddle stains my heart
It's forever black and blue.
