You have described my vision of the afterlife, freedom from all that we have created upon ourselves in this mortal plane. Well written in verse and rhyme as always.....

Truly this is a very breathtaking write Valerie. You so eloquently described a place that is so beautiful in all it's surroundings and glory. To exists in a state of bliss as this poem suggests is quite satisfying. This reminds me of my poem A Land so Fair. An Inspiring and uplifting write.

A poem of longing. The endless search for a utopia, in hopes of escaping the cares of this life.. So beautifully fashioned Val.

Felt a ever encompassing need for inner peace and reaching a fairy land? The dream land of the poet so hard to find but hope lives forever in this poet's heart. The reader travels with you and you transmit your feelings and thoughts in a framework of beautiful lace and poetic color as is your style.

A graphic scene... you put your readers into it by the imaginative powers... the longing is impressive: Oh, for a land where sunshine lingers, Oh, for a land of sweet repose Where every care slips through my fingers - Peacefully ling’ring at the close... Ah, peacefully ling’ring at the close.
