Several years ago, I heard that a student
Received an incredible mark of precisely
One hundred per cent on his A level philosophy
Examination. Well, correct me if I'm wrong,
But I was under the distinct impression
That it's in fact impossible! Not even
Plato or Aristotle were always right.
Isn't it the case that there are endless
Arguments and counter arguments with regard,
To topics and subjects of ultimate concern?
O this current tick -box culture, that pervades
The educational curriculum,
Is seemingly pointless as well as absurd.
What happened to the art of critical thinking? !
