Great poem. Out of all this the most dangerous state is the state of being a frantic delusional, when the building blocks that are suppose to come together to build a nation just aren’t there.
Thank you so much, Savita. And indeed you make a great point. The more the blocks are not there, the more the effort to build seems to overwhelm and overtake the energies and efforts of the state...
This reminds me of the idea that civilizations are cyclical, that like nature everything has a pattern of birth, growth, erosion and decay, all socities are not immutable immortal, even values become corrupted. I like the thought of moderation and consideration being the balance force that may halt the decay. Just wish more people would listen to words of reason. Wonderful work M.J.!
At last there's the return to values - some old some new-.....all through ages years, months, weeks, days, hours, minutes, seconds to balances all the past, the present and the future with featuring existence..........
frantic delusional take me seriously / thoughts, beliefs, that promise to fix, / this time strangely, sans the fire, / all that went wrong, all that paved the march, to the pyre. - - -> this is the way poetry is supposed to be written! ! ! With power, flow, depth, and a touch of mystery to keep it eternal. 10+++++++++ and onto my fav list
Kerouac and his circle of literary giants would be most pleased with this masterpiece. Another absolutely stunning work! M.J., you never disappoint!
Yoonoos, LeeAnn...gracias, mes amis! Thank you so much for your observations.
Finally someone figured out the Bard (Shakespeare) on what he meant
