A 13-year old co-wrote this impressive nightmare poem! No wonder you say Expect poems and raps from him soon. The first stanza pulled into this poem, actually the title first because it reminded me of a old but impressive Hollywood film called SNAKE PIT which is another way of saying SERPENTINE ABYSS. The first stanza shows how there can be terrible things in our lives we have to live with day after day; we can't get rid of them or escape them so they haunt us continually. The second stanza amplifies that daily experience: The beast's dark shadow hunts me still is a powerful closing; it doesn't end! But the most striking line for me was I'd been taught to submit to the beast. What a burden to carry to carry. Give Ash Flame my compliments for his creativity.
