Devotional poetry gives us immense joy. We can move ahead with greater joy, if we chant Lord's name. Hare Krishna..Hare Krishna.

It's beauty and peace that inspires a poet. A poet is a human and he is also affected by the current affairs. A nice poem.

2 - " adjective: rapt 1. completely fascinated by what one is seeing or hearing. " Andrew looked at her, rapt" " The definitions for 'senryu' and 'rapt' fit the poem fine. Yes, let the world rush by while we (try to) find refuge, now and then, in poetry, like horses wearing blinders! ! :) bri

1 - " adjective: rapt " Senryu (also called human haiku) is an unrhymed Japanese verse consisting of three unrhymed lines of five, seven, and five syllables (5,7,5) or 17 syllables in all. Senryu is usually written in the present tense and only references to some aspect of human nature or emotions." (cont.)

Oh! I love a senryu in the hands of a true poet! ! ! I love the pause- -it works especially in context with the poem. And the image and message are spot on! Top marks!
