This is a very charming and well written poem, Lillian, but it is not a Haiku according to the rules of the Japanese form and any Haiku purists who may read this poem. Don't get nervous, though, because it is a wonderful Senryu poem, the 'cousin' of the Haiku. Haiku can only be about nature and make no reference to humans or anything of human production, be it children or machines. Senryu, on the other hand, can be about anything else except nature. So, this wonderful poem you wrote still was a delight to read as a Senryu and worth a 'ten''any way one looks at it! Carl.
Haiku are not 'meant' to have a title, but this one would do very well without.
Amazing composition...
