Sena Writes Own Epitaph

Rating: 5.0

staring, at cross-roads,
Sena's choice of risky route
with ex-foes, in broad
daylight, in short term might suit;
next poll, they will get, the boot

living in glass house
they threw stones at their best friend
whom they lost, of course;
they forgot, with pals, to bend
over backwards, is.the.trend

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
In Maharashtra, the Indian state, after recent polls delivered a fractured mandate, Siva Sena (SS) the hindutva party, severed its ties with BJP, the ruling party in the Indian parliament. SS chose to align itself with its bitter foes, INC and NCP, with the hopes of forming its own Government in Maharashtra. Many experts feel SS has marginalised itself by this move.
