This is great Kim! Clever, humorous and just plain a joy to read!
Had to come back and read this little gem again. I just love it!
Ever so creative with such beautiful sentiments! .. Endless 10'S And Stars! ..+++++++++++++++++++++++
The picture is now showing up and it is very cute! I love how you worded the poem.
My (4th) wife had a traumatic experience as a Japanese youngster when a 'large' dragonfly landed on her finger. She says she SHOOK her finger (I suppose vigorously) and its head [only] remained attached to her poor finger. : ( bri
Merlin, the bird: 'Merlin, a dark-colored raptor that hunts small birds and shorebirds with surprise attacks'. In my youth, Merlins were called 'pigeon hawks' I believe. : )
Merlin, the bird: Falco columbarius. A small species of falcon from the northern hemisphere.6-9 inches long. Thanks, Bri. I never knew about this bird before, at least by that name. We called them sparrow hawks.
There still are dragons, but none that fly since knights slew all of THOSE for stew hundreds of years ago. Not even Merlin (the magician, not the bird) could conjure up another.
My friend Fabio Escobar says that in Brazil there is a saying: 'Thank you, Jesus, that elephants don't fly.'
Kim, Do you refer to 'logical', 'lexical', or 'conceptual' semantics? ? ? ? Huh? ! I see YOU in your wagon. ;) I'm at library again. bri : )
You said the picture showed up immediately, but I can't see it. The poem is very clever, though. Nice play on words.
I never could attach the original picture I had, but the computer accepted this one on the first try! It even showed up immediately.
Cute little poem! I give it five stars! Can't wait to see the picture!
I just added this little gem to my favorites!
