Life is about me only as a starting point.
Whether I like it or not, I am cast into the sea of common humanity as I have no choice--this is the steak reality and challenge.
The seed that's me has to grow, often painfully, but this I have accepted right from the start, so It doesn't hurt.
The tree of my life has had to endure the most inclement weather but I am fortunate it's sturdy and resilient. It has, despite all odds, yielded a few worthy fruits.
It has been a journey of hardship and heartbreak but equally of joy, discovery, humility, wonder and transcendence.
Life is such and is lived in singularity--everyone has their own story.
In the end, what will define me is not the limited talent that I have but my humanity.
