Seeking Quiet Poem by Ray Hansell

Seeking Quiet

I'm tuning out the noise
I need a break from it all
Right down to my cell phone
That people continue to call

So, I hit the off button
So I don't have to hear it ring
I'm just not in the mood
To hear that ding-a-ling

Everything else is turned off
Including my TV
I'm just not in the mood
To hear any noise around me

I've closed the door
The windows to
Maybe it will be quiet
As I sleep the whole night through
