Diffusing into every atom.

We dream many sweet progress but sometimes it is entangled in the cobwebs where spiteful spider waits at the helm. Hope like bud blooms but it is nibbled by worms and we feel disappointment. Mind wanders among the hurry and scurry of men for power, position or fame but it becomes void. A great philosophical write with nice penmanship is being shared here amazingly, full vote.
valsa, the last stanza of this poem catches me, resonates. the image of men on the sand and the descriptive and alliterative nicety of flurry and fury of waves—are satisfying poetically. and your question to yourself makes it weighty in an existential sense. somewhat related is my poem in the time before new year. it strikes me that this question of yours like the desire to write a good poem (as in the latest posting of yours i just commented on) are both life circumstances that require the challenge of waiting. glen
a wise worded poem of some of the things we desire in our short some times lucky lives and question are they really worth pursuing? ............well written Valsa.
“hanker for” ………gee, I haven’t heard that expression for MANY YEARS! I’m now hankering to hear it again. I could be picky and nibble at some of your poetic buds ……….like a criticizing worm would, but I fear your wrath. besides I like you too much! your (?) mind goes from being turned into “a simmering pot” to being “vacant” to hankering for “a nameless something”. it couldn’t be a visit from me, could it? ? ? MY MIND is missing in action. BUT, if my mind were not missing, it would be hankering for a Marilyn Monroe movie [in 3-D], and a steak sandwich, and a banana split with strawberry, maple, and peach ice creams, hot fudge, whipped cream, and candy sprinkles! ! ! ! ! ! ! make that TWO movies, TWO sandwiches, and TWO banana splits. bri : )
So Bri, you are once more back to 'mischief'! I see there is fear, hate and love in you now........ a concoction of emotions.... so it will be blended and balanced in right proportion! If you 'hanker' after too many things, impossible to satisfy your whims! Sandwiches and banana splits, I assure you.
Very insightful and raises the common question for all of us as what does this mind hanker for? .......Valsa...... this is so beautifully crafted with wonderful words.......I loved it.......10
What does my mind hanker for Wealth or Success…….. Power, Position or Fame? Nay, a nameless something That would fill the void within! A thoughtful poem.
That was an incredible dream. Coming to a decision sometimes comes to us in dreams
In childish fancy hoped in vain, That all buds would bloom And all blossoms into fruits grow But when did the truth dawn on meThe sour Truth - hard to neglect or reject That many a bud could be nibbled by worms And fruits - blighted before ripe? Wonderfully true dreaming
