Seek Me After Poem by Janine Alyssa Navarro

Seek Me After

You sent me a postcard
From the towers
Where you imprisoned
Our promises and pastries

Your fingerprint
Smudged your messages
But I held it close anyway
I sniffed a trace of cinnamon

Get back soon
My clarinet needs fixing
For now I sing to myself
Go mend and seek me after
