Seed Of Love Poem by Namita Rani Panda

Seed Of Love

Rating: 5.0

Long ago I sowed a seed
In a barren land
And watered it with utmost care,
Added manure too,
Still it grew reluctantly, slower
And took years to be a robust tree
Being eaten up by pests,
Destroyed by storms,
But now it is laden with juicy fruits and fragrant flowers,
Keeps ready for me a shady bower
And for many a cool shelter.

As I grew older
I sowed seeds of love in barren hearts
And with undying patience water them
With unconditional love and greatest care,
With reluctance they grow
Facing storms of abhorrence and anger,
I never lose heart, but loose the soil with much care,
The sick hearts rejuvenate
Love being its best manure,
Trees sweet bonds grow laden with the fruits and flowers
Of peace, love and divine pleasure,
Oasis expands and dessert turns into an evergreen forest,
Keeps bowers ready for every season,
Hearts are linked with an unbreakable thread of affection.
