ahhh...you have truly struck a deep note of existential consideration, here, Annette. What am I? I love the thought of being a product of our own creation. This is a truth rarely touched upon. And in the context of knowing what I am, what I have become, can I master that, or will it master me? And who can look beneath the surface of the image I project, to see into the deep inner workings of who I really am? Does anyone really dare, and if so, how will they respond?
And yet we hunger to be known. To be real and authentic, lay down the masks and charades, and still be desired─not merely as a lover, but as a friend, a fellow traveler, a human.
A fine work to ruminate within.
