Seduction Of Chair (Part - Xii)(Satire) Poem by Hans Raj Sharma

Seduction Of Chair (Part - Xii)(Satire)

Pollution and nefarious
Atmosphere-
Shortage of oxygen
Noise and suffocation
Smoke and dust
Roughness of dusk and night
The dark thick clouds
Thunderbolts
And dreadful lightning-
Wraths of tempest
Wilderness of storms
Backwoods and wastelands
Where, ruffians freely wander-
Use to tease mocking the virgins
Kidnap innocent children
Slashing their limbs-
Their tongues
Their arms and their legs
Forcing them to beg
A few alms in public
In the name of God

As the core cause
Of terror and fright
As such shoddier-
The state of affairs.

At that extremity of the moment
Mortified return to regain:
Angel from abroad
Ghoul from his native land
Ghost from the pilgrimage
Imp and Jr. Imp from graves
In the northeast clime-
Elf from his eternal sleep
And Demon from his coma
All so unfortunate and so late.
By the time, Brio had made
An absolute seduction
Seduction of the chair.

The celestial souls
In the darkness-
Darkness of midnights
Conspiring plots-
And intrigues against Brio
As they dwell till today-
On the huge-hollow branches
Branches of the Banyan tree
In front of Brio's Palace
Where from the critics say-
Fruitless efforts they use to make
For fulfillment of missionary chore.

Brio's craving for seduction
Seduction of the chair
Immutable and inborn-
His base nature and imperfection
Imperfection of his personality
Weak character and tardy-gaited wit
Poor cognition and declining health
Inability to govern and repression
His behavior and sense of ill-will
Revengefulness and cruelty
Over the helpless-
Sticking the way or the path
Of so called noble mission.

For which his predecessors
Hadb'n damned and thrown down
Down on the earth out of heaven
By the Supreme Soul-
Thus, all the souls aggrieved from-
Continue hovering over his head
Snatching peace of his mind
Round the clock causing relentless pain.
