Seduction Of Chair (Part - V)(Satire) Poem by Hans Raj Sharma

Seduction Of Chair (Part - V)(Satire)

The Cabinet concluded
Junior Imp to be crowned
So as to coup and wage a war
Both the armies equipped with arms
So sophisticated, stood face to face
In fury and rage, about several miles
Of area around the banks of pious river
The Sutlej, as their battle-field.

In the battle-field could be seen
All friends turned foes-
Where, once upon prevailed no arms
Thoughts, used to be exchanged
But, all turned hostile against-
Out of selfish-ends
For the seduction of the chair.

Well known for his skills-
Use of weaponry and intrigues
Shrewd Junior-Imp after father
Once upon in a victorious stab
Fighting against-
Won the battle not the war
Enjoyed and celebrated-
The victory for a short span.

In a squall of uncertainty
And chaos-
Again, the war exploded
Junior-Imp along with his forces
Fought the last minute battle
To the hilt-
Plotting in vain an attempt
Went waste, to poison the Demon
And suddenly also the Loyal Forces
Deceived, by joining hostile camp
His own arms turned into foes
That shocking moment Junior Imp
Vanished himself, committing a suicide.

His friends and foes, except, Fickle alone
All in a happy cheer, buried the dead body
Under the big dry, ancient Banyan tree
Where, Junior-Imp rests in peace
Even today in eternal sleep.
