Seduction Of Chair (Part - I) Poem by Hans Raj Sharma

Seduction Of Chair (Part - I)

Rating: 5.0

Divine messenger-
Angel replete with
All the noblest attributes
Being a virtuous man's soul
When received into Heaven
Even the angels opposed
Original inhabitants
Of the Heaven amazed.

A full bench sat
To hear the row
And heavenly verdict
Outcast Angel thereby
The new entrant
For the mildest charge
Of concealing knowledge
From its fellow beings.

Thus, the gentle soul
Was dropped down
Upon the earth
With an assignment
To educate at least
One generation complete
So as to avoid and escape
From infernal torments.

Purposely-
The Angel founded
A school of morality
Constructing many more
With missionary spirit
Fascinating huge buildings
In several historical cities
And towns worldwide.
That mainly based on
The Aryan culture-
And carved its principles
On the stones and walls
And installed pillars-
To preach the doctrine
Of the ‘VEDAS'
The good and the evil
The moral and immoral
In the early eighties
Of nineteenth century
With an ardent zeal
To educate humanity
With gospel truth-
With such an aptitude
The Angel set to work.

The historians recorded
His eventful deeds
Fairly well, based on
Swami Dayananda's doctrine
Of practical aspect of life
Purely based on spiritual
Knowledge and truth-
Swami Vivekananda's theory
Theory of the principles
Of philosophical ideals of life.

The Angel consolidated
The entire knowledge
And compiled in the books
Thus, rendering-
His infinite service
For the well being
Of human race
For the religious
And social uplift-
For the political
And economic reforms-
For the natural love
And fellow feelings-
For the peaceful
Co-existence of mankind.

He fought against
Repressive forces-
Championed the cause
Of individual liberty
And succeeded in
Establishing a society
Free from all evils and ills
Of refined educationists
And philosophers-
With high moral values
And ideals among the genius
Of his age and times-
Of cotemporary brains and minds.

As such, manifold standards
The Angel attained-
Hardly had he finished
One fourth of his task
When-
The Angel chanced to meet
Meet with Ghoul
The most sincere worker
Though boastful
Yet, pleased with
His personal traits
Angel entrusted Ghoul
In good faith with the task
Of remaining noble mission
After fully ensured
Angel left for abroad
On the same grand mission.
