Secrets Of Betrayal Poem by Adams King

Secrets Of Betrayal

Arrive at your convictions with better clarity
For assumption is the father of all misconceptions

Do not be misled by the false pretense of men
For demons wears the most righteous smiles

Even when men prove themselves to be angels
They are high possibilities they could turn demons

Do not be carried away by the lofty music of life
And dance with a slow and watchful step

If you must merry, merry with much wisdom
For too many consumption sours the taste of pleasures

I have seen great men kiss their very last
On a table of trustworthy friends and lovers

Time can ravage the mind and heart of any man
An turn an innocent man into a bloody villain

Trust not the man better than your observations
For you are the only true friend you have in life

So in all your doings apply cautiousness
And never unfriend yourself to befriend any man

I have told you before men are but shapeshifters
Shaping themselves to suit every profitable occasion

In the depth of the free ocean lies the sticky mud
So as in the depth of friendship betraying intentions

Once again I will wisely say trust no man
And do not be confident in predicting their deeds

Only a fool will claim he knows a friend too well
For the only meal you own is that which you've eaten
