Secrets Poem by Cece Dev

Secrets

You don’t know whether or not to say,
That which can make others feel pain,
That which could make other feel anger.
I wish I could go back in time
So I didn’t have to know.
How I wish I could confide
In a listening ear
That which I long to share,
It all affects what could have been
Instead you carry an unspoken sin.
It hurts that you can’t say,
But the promise- you can’t betray.
How I do wish I could be saved.
I wish I could deny
That which I know
Why must I be sure?
Maybe if I were deaf,
I could live away from it all.
All the secrets, all the pain.
I strive for solitude.
