There is beauty in simplicity! Indeed the seasons of nature are full of parallels with the stages of our lives. Thank you for this poem!
A simple poem with a simple rhyme scheme and a profound theme. Very enjoyable
Very nice use of metaphors while describing stages of life. Liked it.
Joseph your poetry is open, philosophic, mature, free-flowing, simple and an absolute pleasure to read
Thanks for sharing, very easy flow, packed with real life experience, yet simple.very well rhymed and so easy to understand.
God gracious! ! ! I adore the rhyming, its well composed, and it steals the reader away. I normally used to do lots of rhyming when I started writing poems, but as time grew, I had to swerve and try out other ways, that were not made up of to much rhyming, it was hard though, but I broke through, and now, I could say; I could cook up a poem with the both spice. Really I look forward seeing more of ur works. Good luck with ur life endeavours and never forget dat But always believe u could do better. kudos! Kingfemi
I too enjoy you work, Joseph. Thanks for your kind words. Too bad you're to far away to come hear my poetry reading next month in Boonsboro, MD. This one reminds me of Ecclesiastes 12: 1-7. Adeline
Not often do I stumble into amazing poems like this. Very symbolic and mild in depth and yet, very poetic. I like your style Joseph, keep up the good work.
Nicely expressed in verse with rhythmic splendour
