Searching The Creator Poem by Bernedita Rosinha Pinto

Searching The Creator

Rating: 5.0

Let there be many hopes
and many dreams;
let there be many roads
and many directions;
let there be many faiths
and many religions;
let there be many shouts
and many cries;
let there be many prayers
and many hymns;
let there be many murmurs
and many whispers.

Let there be many routes
and many directions;
let there be many sunsets
and many sunrises;
let there be many rotations
and many revolutions;
let there be many spins
and many awakenings;
let there be many devotees
and many worshipers.

Let there be many efforts
and many endeavors;
let there be many attempts
and many resolutions
to find God -the creator
of this earth and this universe-
the maker of this planet
and the galaxies above.

Let everyone and anyone
shout a million names
where generations want to identify
where eyes want to seek,
where hearts want to love,
where lipswant to call out,
where minds want to find and revere God
and offer their thankfulness
for this wonderful world
which is such marvelous gift from Him
to all mankind.

But God reiterates:
"Forever.........
let there be air to breathe,
let there be water to drink;
let there be yesterday to cherish
let there be tomorrow to confront
as every creation of nature
is a benevolence I confer on humanity
expecting nothing in return
as long as you remember Me and My kindness";
so man keeps searching for God
to offer his thankfulness
through prayers and devotion
and hence a bond so perpetual persists
which makes faith and religion a connection.
