Yes, one's identity is supremely important, and the search goes on throughout life as identity grows, changes, as life changes, as time passes…

Now the poet have a name, Poet and Mother Muse. i particularly like this poem as it speaks to the plight of the unseen, unsung, maker of home and the world we all come home. Beautiful and and intellectually-stimulating poem.

A poem which questions the psychology of the society. We talk about gender equality but in reality we cannot see it. I always wonder why married women add Mrs before their name and married men never change Mr even after marriage. The poem toches a brilliant analysis of social psychology

Everybody wants his/her name to be pronounced when s/he is addressed. This is a natural urge. There is a lot more love associated with the name when one is addressed by it, than when addressed by a prefix as you have mentioned.

Yes, the 'Poemhunter' is indeed a safe and peaceful refuge of unrecognised poets, who exchange their thoughts freely here about the poems, poets and on the comments of the readers.

So nice, innocent and tender thoughts, I am touched. You have a beautiful name, Bharati and indeed we love to call you by your sweet name. You have expressed your feelings so eloquently! Beautiful poem.

Part 4. A marvellous piece of poetry, as Susan, Geeta and other poets have opined. Congratulations.

Part 3. It is really hard for a woman to find a space for her, in this ‘Man's World'. And, Bharati, you have done it. Your achievement is, by no means, a mean achievement!

….part 2. It is for her to find a NAME for herself, for her ‘SELF'. However hard it is!

I made a revisit today. Yes, women are being treated as "tagged" to a man, who is father, husband, son,
