what should we use ''fire '' or conflagration in a poem? it is 'fire ' we should use, why? because our emotion does not come in uncommon words..if some use bomb-busting words, poems never become popular..and popularity has enough merit...
Hi Wahab Abdul, Thanks for your comment. You are right in a sense! You can see while I am translating certain Tamil poems, I have to search and apply most suitable words which provide the exact meaning. I may not know many words. But when a learned person with qualification and experience gets the words spontaneously, we have to accept it. As you said, common word 'fire' can be easily understood, but conflagration can be used, if I know the word, for necessary rhyme, I hope.
